Daily fishing is from 08:00 – 14.00 and 16:00 – 22:00. Two rods share each beat. The beats are quite long with plenty of pools and runs for the two rods fishing the six hour shift. Some beats entail considerably more walking than others.
Many renowned fly fishers consider this to be one of the greatest wild brown trout rivers in the world. The lodge, Hof, is an old lodge and very basic but it’s clean and functional. The surroundings at Laxa river are absolutely beautiful and the fishing can be phenomenal and does for sure make up for any lack of luxury at the lodge.
